Our Eveswell
partnership
Thanks to the support from UK Government, we have been able to fully renovate our building in Eveswell, making our facilities environmentally sustainable and fit for purpose to support the community in the long term. Our centre provides dependable, community-focused spaces for individuals and families to access much needed health and wellbeing support.
We offer numerous free activities, events and services at the Centre, including play events for young families, community meals, peer support groups, a youth club, digital inclusion services and arts groups.
Stay & Play
Mondays, 10-11:30am
The Stay & Play session caters for a wide range of parents and carers, including grandparents and childminders. The group provides an opportunity for both adults and children to meet new people and to enjoy play activities in a safe, informal and friendly environment. Through providing varied activities including creative, imaginative and exploratory play, books and stories, as well as other resources, children can develop their physical, literacy, communication and cognitive skills. For both adult and child, connecting with others can be beneficial to their wellbeing.
The Saturday Family Hang Out
Saturdays, 10-12noon
Family Hang Out provides an opportunity for families to come together for a facilitated play session. This varies from week to week but includes crafts, games, gardening, cooking, movie mornings as well as trips to local parks/attractions. In this fast-paced world we live in, with constant digital distraction, we want to provide a safe & fun space where families can spend time together and take part in meaningful activity. We trust that these sessions will strengthen family bonds and lead to increased self-esteem for the children and young people, as well as fostering good communication between family members.
