Our Trustees
Toc H is a charity incorporated by Royal Charter it is constituted as a membership organisation where on a three year cycle trustees are appointed by the membership. There are four co-options to the board allowed to ensure that we have in place the expertise needed for trustees to have the right skills mix to ensure that the organisation is overseen effectively but also to provide the strategic leadership to guarantee we are achieving our overall objectives. In the past Toc H was closely linked to the Royal family and we continue to enjoy royal patronage for the organisation.
Our Trustees
Rahoul Naik
Rahoul has been a Trustee of Toc H since late 2024. He is a Leicester-based entrepreneur and founder of Setū, the UK's first non-profit marketing agency for charities. He leads commercial strategy, sales and business development internationally and won Entrepreneur for Good 2024 at the Real Entrepreneurs' Awards. He has trustee experience with First Step, CPRE Leicestershire and the Sarojben Patel Memorial Trust, while serving as Vice-Chair of Governors at a primary school. A former Youth Parliament member for Leicester City, he mentors young people. He holds a degree from Lancaster University and is committed to Toc H's values objectives.

Peter Gill
Peter is a professional musician and co-owner of the Pen Y Bryn Animal Sanctuary near Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire. His passion for Toc H began in 2004 following his first visit to Talbot House in Poperinge, an experience that inspired him to write and tour the acclaimed plays Talbot House – A Home from Home and Four Points of the Compass, celebrating the history and values of Toc H. Since becoming a Trustee in 2021, Peter has been committed to preserving and promoting the enduring ethos of Tubby Clayton, Talbot House and the Toc H movement, ensuring its relevance for future generations.

Debbie Child
Debbie trained in management with Marks & Spencer before building a successful career managing church schools in the former Diocese of Bradford. She later became Diocesan Secretary for Bradford and subsequently for the Diocese of Leeds following the diocesan merger. A qualified coach, mentor and workplace mediator, Debbie brings extensive leadership and governance experience. Although now retired, she remains actively involved in voluntary work. Having previously served as a Trustee, she became Chair of the Toc H Board of Trustees in October 2025. Debbie is committed to providing strong leadership and supporting the organisation's mission and future development.

Sharen Ravat
Sharen is an energetic and experienced professional with a strong background in education, community development and sustainable living. She currently serves as Cycling Development Officer for Cycling UK, working with local authorities and communities across England to promote cycling and active travel through grant-funded initiatives. Previously, she was Multifaith Chaplaincy Coordinator at Leicester College, developing extensive experience in partnership working and community engagement. A confident administrator and communicator, she builds effective networks, manages digital content and works collaboratively across organisations. Fluent in Punjabi and an experienced international traveller, Sharen brings valuable insight, practical expertise and a perspective to Toc H.

Denise Poole
Canon Denise Poole is an ordained Church of England minister with extensive experience as a hospital chaplain, parish vicar and Bishop's Chaplain. With a background in adult education, she has dedicated many years to community development and interfaith engagement, fostering inclusion and understanding. Denise also serves as a school governor and trustee of both the Linking Network and the Bradford Court Chaplaincy Service. Passionate about building stronger communities, she is committed to supporting people in creating places of kindness, hope and belonging. Her leadership, pastoral experience and collaborative approach bring valuable insight and compassion to the work of Toc H.

Tracy Charnock
Tracy is an experienced Church of England priest who has served for over 15 years in Blackpool, including in the Church's most deprived parish, and previously ministered in the diverse, multi-faith communities of Longsight and Victoria Park, Manchester. Before ordination, she spent a decade in the Civil Service, progressing into management, and holds degrees in History and Theology. Passionate about leadership development, diversity and inclusion, she leads Blackburn Diocese's inclusive clergy group. Tracy has extensive governance experience and works with the Blackpool Poverty Truth Commission. Through partnership with Toc H, she has helped combat social isolation by establishing local friendship groups.
