Families & Children
Toc H works with families and children by building strong, trusted relationships within local communities.
Our starting point is not simply to provide activities or services, but to create welcoming places where families can belong, make friends and support one another. Through play, shared meals, creative activities, parenting support and community events, we help children and parents build confidence, connections and a stronger sense of belonging.
We recognise that families may face many different pressures, including isolation, financial hardship, anxiety, difficulties at school or challenges at home. Practical support is important, but people also need to feel known, valued and accompanied. Our staff and volunteers take time to listen, build trust and respond to the needs of each local community. We work alongside schools, health services, churches, local authorities and other organisations. This means families can benefit from professional support while remaining connected to a caring local network.
Our aim is to help create communities in which children can grow, parents can flourish and families do not have to face life’s challenges alone.
We have work with families underway in Pillgwenlly, Eveswell, Thornbury and High Brooms and work in development in Middlesbrough.
