Thornbury  Centre, Bradford

Located on the eastern side of Bradford, Thornbury Community Centre has served its local community for many years. Like many community facilities, it has faced challenges in sustaining high-quality local provision and ensuring that the centre remains responsive to changing community needs. Over recent years the centre has been working in partnership with Toc H to develop a renewed vision rooted in relationships, local participation and community capacity building.

Today the centre is becoming a growing hub for families, children and local residents. Activities include family and children's programmes, enterprise and employability training, practical courses in cooking and food hygiene, and a range of initiatives that encourage social cohesion and community connection. At the heart of this work is a commitment to creating welcoming spaces where people can build relationships, develop confidence, learn new skills and contribute to the life of their neighbourhood. Through this partnership, Thornbury Community Centre is seeking to strengthen community life and create opportunities for local people to flourish together.
