The Barton branch meet every 6 weeks at the Volunteers Centre of the Far Ings National Nature Reserve. The nature reserve is made up of 220 acres of ponds and meadows and is famous for having several breeding pairs of Eurasian bitterns, which are an endangered species.

A group of adults and children meet on Sunday's and spend the whole day at the nature reserve. The group will tackle whatever needs doing at the reserve, from raking up weeds, collecting seed heads of various plants, moving plants or repairing fences. The work the group does helps the reserve which benefits the local community and all those who visit the reserve.
